Information We Collect

Menu Matrix may collect or store the following information when you use the app:

• Account information such as username, email address, role, permissions, account status, and login records needed to operate your account.
• Restaurant and menu information you create, including restaurant names, menu names, menu items, descriptions, prices, allergen notes, category labels, training notes, and customization settings.
• Images you add, including menu header images, item images, and photos selected for menu text scanning.
• Basic technical information handled by Firebase and hosting providers, such as device, browser, network, and security logs needed to keep the service working.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the Menu Matrix service, including account login, menu creation, menu editing, user permissions, menu training, PDF building, image display, and app customization.

We may also use information to troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, maintain security, improve the app, and respond to support requests.

Authentication and Passwords

Firebase Authentication is used for email registration, login, verification emails, and password reset emails. Firebase account passwords are handled by Firebase. Admin-created temporary editor accounts may store login details for app access, so users should use a unique password that is not reused on other services.

Images and Menu Scanning

If you upload images, those images may be stored with your menu data so they can be shown inside the app. If you use the menu photo scanner, the selected image is processed to extract menu text. The current app uses browser-based OCR when available. If a cloud scanning endpoint is enabled later, selected images may be sent to that service only for the purpose of reading menu text.

How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help run the app, including Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, and hosting. Externally linked image providers or script CDNs may receive standard technical request information when their content loads.

Data Storage and Security

Menu Matrix stores app data in Firebase services and may also store limited data locally on your device for faster loading and offline-style continuity. We use reasonable technical measures such as Firebase authentication and database rules to protect app data, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.

Data Retention and Deletion

Menu and account records are kept while they are needed to provide the app. Admin users can remove user records and menus inside the app. To request account deletion, menu deletion, or a copy of your information, email danielmuhaj9@gmail.com.

Children

Menu Matrix is intended for restaurant operators, staff, and business users. It is not designed for children and should not be used by children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Menu Matrix changes. When updates are made, the last updated date above will be changed. Continued use of the app after an update means the updated policy applies.
